At the October 1998 MEA/MFT Teachers Conference in Great Falls teachers gather to learn how to create webpages in the workshop sponsored by MALT. Richard and Tracy Sutherland from Colorado's Air Force base guide everyone through the process.

June Crouch, far right, creates her first webpage.

Debbie Kelley is having fun as she finds a home for her webpage in the GeoCities neighborhood.

Riverside's computer lab instructor, Diane looks on as Rich Sutherland helps a pupil organize her files.
Bob Acker and Martina Baum-Acker get help from Tracy Sutherland.
Chris Junghans studies his notes as Patty Hill gets some help from a colleague.

Bob Acker gives his input to a neighbor as Mike Clow developes his thoughts onto a page.

Tom Waldorf poses so he'll have a photo for his page.

Nora Fleharty-Gray is pleased with the results of her hard work.

Pat Wyss and Tom take time out for a smile.

Taking a moment to pose for a picture is just one segment of the workshop.
Each year in the fall and again in the spring, MALT offers training on various topics.  Total Immersion Workshops are also offered for the different languages.

Check out two other workshops for foreign language teachers.

Tom gets serious about designing his page.

Rich reviews the work done by this pair.

Lavon Simonfy wonders if I will ever get this
camera figured out so she can have a picture for her webpage!

The computer lab is completely filled with teachers eager to learn how to create their own pages. Most come away from the class feeling confident that what they learned here could be transferred to their own classrooms and homepages.

Hard at work is how most of us spend the six hours of the workshop.

Below, Chris shows off the finer points of his page to Jim Gillison. Patty concentrates on getting the page "just right."
